Volunteer Questionnaire

Thank you so much for offering to help Pet FBI, We are a small organization with a big mission, and we need help to  accomplish our goals:

1. To reunite lost pets and their guardians
2. To support central Ohio spay/neuter programs through public education and fundraising.

Please check the activities that interest you.  Most can be done at any time, at your convenience, and for as much or as little time as suits you.

Lost and Found

  1. Post PET FBI flyers in pet supply stores, vets offices, community bulletin boards, etc. (You can do this by simply carrying some around with you and posting them when you come across a public bulletin board.
  2. Check with the local shelters and humane societies to see that they know about PET FBI and are using and referring people to our database.
  3. Call people who have placed lost and found ads in the local papers to tell them about PET FBI. If they are not online, take the information from them, and submit a report form on their behalf.
  4. If you are not from one of the counties already covered (see Site Map), collect the contact information useful for your county.
  5. Represent Pet FBI at events  and street fairs in your community. Tell people about Pet FBI and hand out promotional literature.
  6. BECOME A COUNTY COORDINATOR! If you are willing to do most of the above for your own county, you will be named a Pet FBI County Coordinator, and you can advertise or include a memorial or message on the Pet FBI pages dedicated to your county.
  7. Monitor voice mail messages from people contacting PET FBI by phone, return their calls, counsel them, and post reports for those who are not online.

GENERAL

  1. If you have clerical skills, we often need people who can type, or create address labels or stuff envelopes when we do mailings.
  2. If you have any graphic design skills, we need help with creating brochures, flyers and promotional materials.
  3. Speak to your veterinarian or local animal related business about  advertising on Pet FBI, particularly on pages dedicated to your county.
  4. Staff a table at one of the public events in which we participate,. Or represent Pet FBI at local animal related events.
  5. Help to create or sew craft items to sell at public events.
  6. Organize a fundraiser to benefit Pet FBI, or suggest your ideas to us.
  7. Help with eBay listings and orders.
